Trains, buses, and science fun

Today we loaded up in the car bright and early to catch the train (TRE) in Dallas.  So we got there and the kids were very excited as was Aunt Nana :)

We took time for a little snack before we boarded the bus!
After our 10 minute ride on the bus we were at the Fort Worth Science place!

About to watch the 4D movie.  All the kids loved the 10 minute show!

On the pretend trolly car.

Poor Aunt Nana, the trolly left without her!

I thought that this was a cool chair!
Waiting for our bus to come and take us to the train.
This picture got a bit mixed up but here are the boys watching some boring historical movie.  I saw that they were making Austin watched it so I saved him and took him to something fun.  I think it is so funny that Dustin and Marcus are so engrossed in the movie.

Haley loved the mirroored room!!!

On the bus ride!

Then the train ride home!
We had a great time on our adventure, but I came away from this trip feeling very grateful that I have my own car and that it has carseats that hold the kids!  It was a great experience though!  Stay tuned for pictures from the Greatest Show on Earth...the Circus!

DAY 3

The kids were the most excited about what the Vacation Fairy told them this day.  They were given some water toys and they were told that they were going to see Mame, Aunt Nana, and Uncle Marcus.  they all drove down to go to the waterpark with us and then the kiddos went back to my moms to spend the night with her, Pops, and Mamammama.

So we went to the Villages Waterpark in Flint.   It was great!  It is an indoor water park so that means no sunscreen and it was a great temperature in there.  Austin was able to do the wave pool, lazy river, all the water shooters and 3 water slides.  He loved it!   Haley could do all that plus 2 more water slides.  They had so much fun!!!
I know I look like a boy but I had just gotten a big bucket of water on my head so my hair was slicked down :)
These are the slides that Austin could do!

So the kids went off to Mame and Pops and so Dustin and I got all cleaned up and headed to ....
the food was just as good as the last time we went.  Appetizer: Crab Cakes and Calamari, Dinner: Filet Mignon, green beans, whipped potatos, desert: creme brule and cheescake...it was so good~  It was a great end to our vacation!

The kids woke up to iced animal crackers and gummy bears from the Vacation Fairy.  It didn't take Haley long to figure out that we were headed to the Zoo.
All ready to go eat breakfast at the hotel!
Daddy with the kiddos at the zoo. It was a beautiful zoo.
Haley feeding the birds.
Austin was a little nervous about holding the bird so his smile isn't quite right:)
Ready to see the animals!
Roar!!!
After the Zoo we headed to Andy's Frozen Custard and wow!  It was the best I have ever had.

Then it was off to Harolds Train Museum.  I am not sure if I would call it a museum...more like a little old mans collection of old stuff.  Austin loved to see the trains though and the little 90 year old man was super cute!

After the exciting visit at the train museum we went to see the tigers.  We saw one that used to be in the circus and Michael Jacksons old tiger.  We were very close to the tigers so it was a bit scary!
Here the kids oare with the tigers feeding bucket.  If you look closely there are a lot of holes in them, the worker said that is why they don't actually go in there with them :)

Then it was Putt Putt!
The kids had a blast!  half way through our 18 holes it started pouring so we took a break and went to eat dinner at the hotel.  Then we came and finished our game.  I beat Dustin by 3 strokes!

After putt putt it was swimming, baths, and then pizza for a late snack.

One more day of vacation coming up!!!!
